Remodeling

Remarkable renovations for homeowners who want to improve the livability of their existing homes.

Whether a dramatic change or a simple up-date, remodeling your home is an investment that affects your daily life before, during and after the project is complete. Our goal is to simplify the process, partnering with you to develop fresh ideas and affordable solutions for the home you could only imagine before. Throughout the project, we consider you to be the most important member of the team. Your questions are always welcome as we guide you through each stage of the remodeling process to ensure that your expectations are met. Once complete, we are available to respond to any requests or needs you may have, both during the warranty period and after.

What can you expect from a remodel experience?

From the furniture that belonged to your grandparents to the latest piece of refrigerator art, your home is a unique place and we respect the family memories that are found there. To be honest, remodeling will disrupt your daily life. Even though we try to prepare you for the construction process, you may feel like a group of strangers have moved in with your family. Many times our clients choose to go on vacation during the construction process and come home to a, “Move that bus!” experience. Be assured that it is very common for homeowners to have emotional ups and downs during the process. If you choose to stay in your home during construction, here are some tips to remember along the way:

  • Think of the experience as a new adventure to a long–term goal.
  • Leave an area of your home intact, as a place for you to relax and escape.
  • Celebrate small events, focus on what has been accomplished.
  • Be encouraged, the home of your dreams is getting closer.

What is the best value for your money?

What began as an outdated and inefficient home theatre has been transformed into a flexible and modern entertainment room.

During the past couple of years, people have become more aware of finding the best value for their money, but what does this really mean? One of the biggest factors in a successful remodel is taking sufficient time for pre-planning. This includes making sure that all the details are covered from color coordination to product selection. When investing your hard-earned money into a remodeling project, don’t leave any doubt as to what you expect. Products don’t have to be dull and boring to have ‘value’. Products that are durable, timeless and function well may cost more initially, but will actually save you money in the long-term. The installation and application of these products is often more important than the selection. In 2010, 78% of our jobs at Sam Bradley Homes, involved re-doing the work of others whose workmanship proved less than desirable. The best value is to do something right the first time.

Our Process.

Just as there are multiple roads that can get you to the destination you desire, there are multiple ways to approach your home’s dilemma.  Our experience has taught us that no matter which path you take, they all start with four basic steps.

Step 1: Assess your current situation. During our initial meeting we will discuss the needs and problems you are experiencing in your current home.
Step 2: What is required to make this situation better? The goal is to determine the best solution that fits within your budget. Simplified, the quantity (size/scope of the project) plus quality (the specifications/selection of products) equals cost. Therefore until the budget is established, everything else is just a guess.
Step 3: How much will it cost? Consider the cost in more ways than just money, your time and lifestyle are important considerations too.
Step 4: Are you willing to make the change? The decision to remodel or move is often complicated. Our goal at Sam Bradley Homes is to help you make the best decision for you and your family. Because of our experience in home construction, we often find problems that the homeowner was not aware of. Sometimes we find solutions that you didn’t even realize were possible. Your ultimate goal is to have a more livable home, one that better suits your needs.
Our clients receive a ‘Homeowner Manual’ that was developed through years of custom building experience. The objective of the manual is to both educate and guide the homeowner through the custom building experience. This pre-planned process helps to eliminate much of the potential stress that comes from ‘building’.
